| Q. |
Have you ever considered taking a DNA test ? |
| A. |
I was asked at the Christmas party when
I made the announcement to friends if I would ever consider taking a DNA test
to further my cause and show my relationship to the Van Gogh family. Upon the
death of my foster father, he indicated in a letter he left for me that Vincent
had been adopted by the Van Gogh family when Vincent was just an infant. Vincent's
foster father was a priest who received the infant from someone in his Parish.
However, no one has ever claimed to have left him on the Van Gogh's front door
step. Taking a DNA test to prove my hereditary roots to the Van Gogh family would
be fruitless since Vincent was adopted himself and no one knew his true biological
parents. |

| Q. |
Do you get tired of all the skepticism ? |
| A. |
Let's just say that I know that many people
are skeptical of the relationship I have claimed. In fact, I was one of the biggest
skeptics even after reading the 20+ page letter from the man that I had always
thought to be my biological father for over 50 years. I did not tell anyone about
what I had read in the letter that was left to me upon his death, not even my
wife, until June 2000. I simply wanted to ignore the letter since I was happy
with my life just as it was, or as I thought that it was. |
